Subeck Would Effectively Rally Public Opinion as Legislator — Sandra Saul

The Capital Times, 8/8/14

Dear Editor: Thanks to The Capital Times for its endorsement of Lisa Subeck. There is a well-defined choice in this race between Mark Clear, who is a moderate Democrat, and Lisa Subeck, who has shown herself to be a strong progressive leader.

Lisa has been forthright about where she stands: She is for paid sick leave and raising the minimum wage because those workplace policies help families and our economy. She is against privatizing jobs. She is a leader in protecting a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions.

In addition to The Capital Times, Lisa has earned the endorsement of Peg Lautenschlager, Sheriff Dave Mahoney, Rep. Terese Berceau, EMILY’s List, hardworking men and women represented by AFSCME and SEIU, and Citizen Action.

In your endorsement of Lisa, you said, “(i)f the next Assembly session is a combative one, it is our view that Subeck would be more effective at rallying public opinion, building coalitions, and then coming to the table from a position of strength.” I could not agree more and that is why I urge voters to elect Lisa Subeck on Aug. 12.
